Andr\u00e9 Cornellier.<\/strong><\/p>\n Artiste photographe, vid\u00e9ographe, commissaire d’exposition, conf\u00e9rencier, charg\u00e9 de cours, animateur, producteur, \u00e9diteur, Andr\u00e9 Cornellier<\/u><\/a> si\u00e8ge sur plusieurs jurys et est co-fondateur des Prix LUX.<\/p>\n Figure importante dans le domaine de la photographie et des arts visuels, il est un artiste photographe avec une carri\u00e8re cumulant plus de 30 ans d’exp\u00e9rience. Il est reconnu pour ses photographies artistiques et de th\u00e9\u00e2tre qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es au Qu\u00e9bec comme \u00e0 l’\u00e9tranger et pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans le cadre de nombreuses expositions.<\/p>\n Son travail photographique lui a permis de r\u00e9colter plus de 70 prix et reconnaissances, \u00e0 New-York, Toronto, Londres, Paris, Montr\u00e9al, Gen\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n Cornellier a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 pas moins de 25 expositions en tant que commissaire avec des artistes tels que Gabor Szilasi et a produit et distribu\u00e9 quatre vid\u00e9os et un film, dont un documentaire-po\u00e9tique sur Michael Flomen<\/u><\/a>, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au Festival International des Films sur l’Art, FIFA, en 2009.<\/p>\n Touchant \u00e9galement \u00e0 l’\u00e9dition, il a publi\u00e9 une monographie sur les artistes canadiens Carlos & Jason Sanchez L’instant de la rupture\/The moment of rupture<\/a><\/u><\/em>, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9 internationalement et sur Marisa Portolese Le Jardin d’Antonia \/ Antonia’s Garden<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n Depuis 2001, il est le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de UMA, Maison de l’image et de la photographie<\/u><\/a> et depuis 2003, un repr\u00e9sentant canadien du Conseil Consultatif International pour PLUS (Picture Licensing Universal System)<\/u><\/a>, une coop\u00e9rative internationale qui a pour but de cat\u00e9goriser les diff\u00e9rents usages en photographie pour l’octroi et l’acquisition des droits d’auteurs.<\/p>\n Il a pilot\u00e9 durant 15 ans, au sein de la CAPIC et de PPOC, le projet pour changer la loi sur le droit d’auteur afin de faire reconnaitre aux photographes canadiens leurs droits par le gouvernement canadien. He is known for his artistic and theatrical photographs that have been published in Quebec and abroad and presented in numerous exhibitions.<\/p>\n His photographic work has garnered over 70 awards and recognitions in New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Montreal, Geneva.<\/p>\n Cornellier has curated no less than 25 exhibitions with artists such as Gabor Szilasi and has produced and distributed four videos and one film, including a poetic documentary on Michael Flomen, presented at the International Festival of Films on Art, FIFA, in 2009.<\/p>\n Also in the area of editing, he has published a monograph on Canadian artists Carlos & Jason Sanchez L’instant de la rupture\/The moment of rupture, which has been distributed internationally and on Marisa Portolese, Le Jardin d’Antonia \/ Antonia’s Garden.<\/p>\n Since 2001, he has been the Executive Director of UMA, Maison de l’image et de la photographie and since 2003, a Canadian representative on the International Advisory Council for PLUS (Picture Licensing Universal System), an international cooperative that aims to categorize the different uses in photography for the granting and acquisition of copyright.<\/p>\n For 15 years, he led the project within CAPIC and PPOC to change the copyright law in order to have Canadian photographers’ rights recognized by the Canadian government.
